Palm Tree Christmas

We spent Christmas this year with Bob's family in Florida! It was a HOT 80 degrees! We have fun watching the kids open their presents, visiting the beach and St. Augustine, and playing lots of games! It was VERY different from our snowy white Christmas of last year! Yet still one to remember!

My niece Jazz broke her wrist roller skating...she wasn't supposed to run or jump or do much activity....she did manage to play a ton of Wii!!!!

Beckley Family Reunion!

Hmm....can anyone guess what we did here??

Wow, summer is flying by. The temps here in Tennessee have just reached the 100 degree mark. It is the time of year when I want to hide inside with the a/c on 60 and a fan on me. It is the time of year that I am most ready for winter!

We recently got back from our Beckley family reunion. My how the years have flown. I am just thinking now that it was 20 years ago I went to the very first one. I will try to find a picture of that one and then one of this one for you.

We rented a house in Florida with my parents during the reunion. It was cheaper than getting a hotel and we had our own pool! It was a nice relaxing vacation.

While we were in Florida my brother-in-law and his new wife had a baby. She is the cutest thing. They named her Kelly Lynn! We were very lucky to get to see her before we came home.

Other than that we have been working in our yard, and trying to enjoy Bob's new schedule of 4/10 hour days. That does get tiring as our evenings during those 10 hour days are very short.

We volunteered to help out with VBS earlier this year. Bob got to play Goliath and I was helping out with the music. We had a good time, but it was exhausting as usual.

I hope you all have a good summer and I will post some pictures as soon as I have time!

One more word of advice. If you are in Florida particularly on the water.....wear sun screen!!!!!

For all of you who are wondering where I am...sorry I can't help you. I have been running around here and there. Mostly trying to enjoy the nice warm spring air!
Bob recently went to Orlando for a Lansa conference. He was gone for about four days. I am such a chicken...I had a friend of mine come and stay with me.
Well, today is my 27th birthday...honestly I would rather skip it. How can 27 years fly by so fast. And if the last 7 years are any indication of how fast life is, before I know I will be 90 and wondering where the heck life went. I think birthday's are overrated. There is a precedent that was set by my childhood, and my poor husband gets blamed for not reaching that level of wonderful that I always had 'back in the day'. I thought perhaps I could sleep through the day and maybe I could be 26 for another year. I am sure there are some out there who are wondering why I am so annoyed with 27..I know it's not 30 or 40 or50, but the thought that I only have a few more years in my 20's just makes me want to cry. Oh, the days when I was young and had no worries...well I worried, but they were such pointless, meaningless, worries............."I Wish I Was 18 Again"!!
Happy belated Mother's day to all you mom's....especially my MOM!! Thanks for everything Mom. I don't know how you made it through my teenage years...but if you miss anything about it, you have my little sister to remind you;)!!!
